Our Expanding Expertise in Education offerings are only available as a series, based on best practices in education. We want to provide you and your teachers with the most effective learning environment and training worthy of their time and energy. Each series includes a 1-hour pre-series consultation and a 1-hour debriefing session with administrators/leaders and facilitators. Full day or half day sessions are negotiable for each series; please email us for more information.
The Assessment Series
- The purpose of this series is to kick-start best practices in Standards Based Learning, Instruction, and Grading, and support teams of teachers through initial implementation and ongoing support. The Series can be repeated up to three times as a spiral curriculum that includes content area or team support, extensive feedback on working drafts, communicating with families, and assistance with school-wide implementation.
The Raising Collective Expertise Series
- The purpose of this Series is to support leadership teams as they consider entry points and goals for the autonomy and choice adults crave in their learning. Sessions also facilitate teacher-led research based on collective problems of practice and contextualized inquiry.
The Critical Literacy in the Disciplines Series
- The purpose of this Series is to support teachers with strategies, models, and practice as they build and implement language acquisition strategies into content area standards. Each session helps teachers remove barriers to learning beyond vocabulary instruction, including: reading digital spaces, text types, and rules of notice for disciplinary texts.
